This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game WinBall ("the app", "we", "us", "our"), published by Scanlyne, collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using WinBall you agree to this policy.
Account & identity (required). WinBall requires you to sign in with Google Play Games Services. When you do, we receive your Google Play Games player ID (a permanent identifier that stays the same even if you change your display name) and your display name. We use these to identify you across sessions and to suggest your in-game name the first time you play.
Profile & gameplay data (stored on your device). Your chosen nickname, avatar, career statistics (goals and assists), and settings (frame-rate limit, visual effects, language, and VIP cosmetic preferences) are saved locally in the app's private storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to a server operated by us.
Purchase data (VIP subscription). The optional VIP subscription is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment details. We only receive from Google whether your account currently has an active VIP entitlement.
Advertising. WinBall shows ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and related technical information. VIP subscribers do not see ads. See Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Multiplayer connection data. For online play, WinBall connects players directly to each other using peer-to-peer technology (WebRTC). A signaling service (Google Firebase Realtime Database) is used to help players find each other via room codes, and when a direct connection isn't possible a relay server (Metered.ca) forwards the traffic. During an online match, your device's IP address is shared with the other players and/or the relay you connect to. This is standard and unavoidable for real-time online games.
In-game chat (user content). Messages you type during a game are shown to the other players in that room. If another player reports one of your messages as abusive, that message together with your player ID may be sent to us by email so we can review it.
Device & technical information. To discourage cheating, the app performs a basic device-integrity check. To match you with nearby players, the app detects your country from your device's settings. We do not collect precise location.
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the game:
Your profile, stats, and settings stay on your device until you delete them. You can erase them at any time inside the app: open Profile → Delete account & data, then confirm. Uninstalling the app also removes this local data.
Your Google Play Games identity and any VIP subscription are managed by Google and tied to your Google account; manage or delete those through Google Play and your Google account settings. To request deletion of any data we may hold (for example, a chat report you were named in), email us — see our deletion page: Account & Data Deletion.
WinBall is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies, such as the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise the delete right directly in the app, or contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
